Metaphysics

According to Merriam-Webster, the term metaphysics is defined as : “a division of philosophy that is concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being and that includes ontology, cosmology, and often epistemology ” and was first coined in1569.

Further exploration under the” Did You Know” section quotes the following :

“Just as physics deals with the laws that govern the physical world (such as those of gravity or the properties of waves), metaphysics describes what is beyond physics—the nature and origin of reality itself, the immortal soul, and the existence of a supreme being. Opinions about these metaphysical topics vary widely, since what’s being discussed can’t be observed or measured or even truly known to exist. So most metaphysical questions are still as far from a final answer as they were when Plato and Aristotle were asking them.”

We, as seekers of truth, as beings of the universe/multiverse have a seemingly unquenchable “thirst” to try to understand the true nature of reality, how we fit it in and ultimately who we really are.

Plentitudes of books have been written,  hundreds of thousands of seminars have been attended and probably millions of theories have been put forth as being the truth.

Bruce Lee, who many consider the greatest Martial Artist of all time, achieved his mastery by “getting rid of the classical mess” in traditional kung fu; and embracing all different styles to create a system that was constantly evolving and becoming better. That same kind of attitude is embraced here.

One of the main “beliefs” of modern metaphysical thought is that you create your own reality. It is not just a catch-phrase. It is a system of thought that suggests that we in actuality create our very existence. This is often supported by science; in particular quantum physics, as well as other spiritual/religious disciplines.

It is the hope that this website will be a place where all topics in this arena can be explored – with the intent toward furthering our own understanding of truth.  No disrespect or lack of love for our fellow man will be tolerated.

Here’s to love and light.
