A Course in Miracles (also referred to as ACIM or the Course), first published in 1976, was written as a collaborative venture between Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford. Schucman claimed that it had been dictated to her word for word from Jesus of Nazareth. The Course in Miracles is a self-study course presented in three sections: the Text, a Workbook for Students, and a Manual for Teachers.
One of the underlying principles in A Course in Miracles is that we are all a part of God (not apart from God) and that the illusion of separation from God (and others) is what creates fear and “non-love” circumstances in our lives.
It teaches that the path to universal love and peace—or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiving self and others. The Course focuses on healing relationships and making them holy.
Marianne Williamson drew attention to the course with her book ” A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles” and other bestselling books.
The following video expounds more on the Course.
